Moving away from home for the first time can be as scary as it is exciting.

However, dealing with landlords or estate agents shouldn't be an issue during your first year as we can guarantee an offer of accommodation to all first-year students from outside the City of Edinburgh.

Help, Advice and Support

Sharing a living space with new friends can throw up a variety of issues but students will have access to a range of residential support, provided by both staff and students.

They can offer advice and guidance on living in University accommodation, as well as organising some of your social activities.

Accommodation Services have more information on the range of support available.

The great thing about Pollock Halls is that you meet a wide range of people from different backgrounds, particularly from overseas. It is an education in itself just to find so much out about people and where they come from.
