如果像 E 那样，preventing its accoustic energy from dissipating 就是修饰前面整个分句的状语。 E的结构类似于She is very angry,shouting at me.

E的结构类似于

这里的 shouting 也是修饰 she is very angry 整个分句的，不只是修饰 angry。这里的修饰确实是说出 she is very angry 的状态。但一个分句后面跟 present participle clause 的时候，也不一定是形容状态的，例如：
She is very angry, making everyone leery of speaking to her。
这时就是结果了。
所以不能单从语法结构看到意义的，必须看内容。千万不要被那些辅导误导了，以为可以不看语意就能够选择到答案。 我查了半天，终于找到原句，科学文献的原句是
Sound can travel through water for enormous distances, prevented from dissipating its acoustic energy by boundaries in the ocean created by water layers of different temperatures and densities.
C选项把 its acoustic energy 提到前面了。
preventing 肯定是不对的，也不是run on 错误，因为后面如果是run on 应该是 its acoustic energy IS prevented 。。。。
its acoustic energy 放在前面应该是强调 对象
个人理解可能跟下面的题比较像，that 前面补出wasp

楼上这句话是什么意思？没有人说是 run on sentence，为什么要提出来？ 精辟的例子 考古！！！ C后面是一个独立主格，修饰Sound。 这么说对不对 请问？？ 很详细 谢谢
