The ABET-accredited undergraduate software engineering program was thelZu ]&lx,x-o V(f)Uu
first of its kind in the US and currently enrolls 400+ students with8C)k8] CO l [
freshman classes of 80 to 90 students each year. In addition to theq8C2fw8r.t|
baccalaureate degree, the department also offers the Master of Science
in Software Engineering degree, which started in the Fall of 2007.
The department is part of RIT's largest college: The Golisano College of-u'\IVA
Computing and Information Sciences. The college is housed in a modern{|A U*BL-{p4A
facility equipped with numerous laboratories and smart classrooms. In Ss{Kq
addition to the department of software engineering, the college includes
the departments of computer science; information technology; and%U"m0K[!iGE
networking, security, and systems administration. Research and
cooperation among the four departments is possible through the college's%` S W%R9r#_7W3N1cz%D
research arm: The Center for Advancing the Study of Cyberinfrastructure a:gVd"ez\
(CASCI). The college offers a variety of undergraduate and masters
programs, as well as a college-level Ph.D. program.#SUv L(`z&z
Applicants to the tenure track position must have a strong interest in w V G%? |N5A
software engineering research, professional education, and curriculum {*^0h'cke
development at the advanced undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. levels. A6_5}5J n%\ [
Ph.D. in a related computing discipline is required, and industrialqk+l7R2T6r v
experience is highly desirable; rank and salary are commensurate with
