If you wish to complete the Enrollment Form. later, then at that time login to https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=UMTC-GRAD with your PIN and password to access your admission letter and link to the Enrollment Form. Your admission letter is posted permanently.

You must return the International Student Financial Certification to provide us with the information necessary to issue the form. I-20 or DS-2019 and to show that you will have sufficient finances to cover the minimum estimated expenses for your first year of study.

If you need a form. I-20 to obtain an F-1 student visa, the correct Financial Certification form. is available through your online application for admission. You should go to https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=UMTC-GRAD and login again with your PIN and password. Select Financial Certification from the menu that appears. We must have your Enrollment Form. before we will review your Financial Certification. If you need a form. DS-2019 to obtain a J-1 exchange visitor visa, or if you are uncertain about which visa you need, go to http://www.isss.umn.edu/jstudent/JFinancialCert.html. DO NOT DELAY. Due to new United States Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement regulations it may take more than 3 months for you to receive your visa.

Before you will be allowed to register we must receive additional credentials (transcripts, diplomas, etc.). You will receive an email listing the specific information needed.

Your advisor is Ruth Thomas and Lisa Kimball. Please contact the department prior to registration so that an appointment can be made to discuss your program. Information regarding departmental policies and financial aid awards is also available from the major program office. Hotlinks to department web sites are available on The Graduate School site (www.grad.umn.edu/Programs/twin_cities.html).

To activate your admission you must register for the term you were admitted for; failure to register will invalidate the admission. If you do not register for the term indicated, please notify this office at (612) 625-3014 at least six weeks prior to the opening of the term when you propose to begin your studies to have your admission reconsidered.

In the next week you will be receiving an email about how to access the Graduate School Admitted Student Portal. The Portal will provide you with information about the University, The Graduate School, your specific graduate program, registration, housing, and much more. The brochures listed at http://www.grad.umn.edu/web_letter/ will also be helpful to you in planning your studies at
Minnesota.

Please note: If you are currently attending a
US educational institution you are considered a transfer student and are required to file a transfer release form. before we can process your I-20 form. The form. is located at http://www.isss.umn.edu/forms/f1forms.html.

If you are currently a student on the U of M Twin Cities campus on an F-1 or J-1 visa, and are changing from a program in another college to a program in the
Graduate School, you must have a new I-20 or DS-2019 issued by the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). You should contact ISSS immediately for assistance.

If you have been admitted to Business Taxation, Management of Technology, Infrastructure Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Liberal Studies, Social Work Distance, the Evening English program, or a program at the
Duluth or Rochester campus, please see below for registration instructions.

Please note that if you were ever a student at the University of
Minnesota in any other program at the University (eg. undergraduate, MEd, MPH, MBA), it is very important that you check the Enrollment Summary screen (http://onestop.umn.edu/onestop/registration.html) at the time you register. The screen should indicate that you are enrolling in the major and degree objective listed in this letter. If it does not, please temporarily stop the registration process and contact the Graduate School Office of Admissions at (612) 625-3014 so that we may assist you in getting properly registered. Once you have been assisted by the Admissions Office, you will be able to continue registering immediately. Please note that students registering after classes start will incur a substantial late fee. Registration closes at the end of the second week of classes. All Graduate School students are required to register in the Graduate School every fall and spring term in order to maintain active status. For more information about this requirement go to Maintaining Active Status (www.grad.umn.edu/current_students/registration/active_status.html)

Minnesota law requires all students born after December 31, 1956, who enroll in a Minnesota college or university to be immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, and rubella. The law also requires the University to collect the information requested and maintain the record for one year. Please click here (http://www.bhs.umn.edu/services/immunizationservices.htm) for a downloadable copy of this form. for you to fill out and return to Boynton Health Services, Student Immunization Law, 410 Church Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455-0346.

Again, our congratulations on your excellent record and on being chosen for admission to our graduate school. I hope that you will accept our offer of admission and if we can do anything to help make this possible, please contact the Graduate School Admissions Office.

I know that you will find your educational experience at
