



Whatever you say...I know in here many people who did not apply for more higher ranked (top 30 or so) graduate schools always feel a bit regretful when they talk about this. Ironically or not, most of them just had a GPA around 85, an averaged grade you don't suggest *mainly* applying for top 50 universities with. Of course there are exceptional cases like you mentioned. So to speak, graduate school application is pretty tricky and it may depend on many unexpected factors. There is no such an absolute thing that can guarantee your offer, not even a high GPA. So what I said above is a "statistical regularity" and based on that top 50 universities are definitely their best choice. I just don't want the applicants in here to be too pessimistic...application is actually easier than you thought.
