Why do you want to change your major?/ quit your current studies? ~4 e5 F" s* a; N& ]& }! d2 i

" I" J) g3 ^# [3 N' r" K6 w8 S例一:Why give up Ph.D and do master in USA? 5 c: e \8 f' w# X' v7 Z0 Q
a. After I started my Ph.D studies, I realized doing Ph.D may not fit my character. I am outgoing and prefer solving problems in practical ways, such as improving traffic situation. *****
; C, r. g6 _ b7 |$ w: i8 j" W. _1 a b. Well, I think it's more about the majors. I think transportation is more realistic and its inter-disciplinary characteristic abstracts me. It combines and requires the technology in the area of EE and computer vision. --- both of them are in line with my background. Also I am interested in improving transportation, such as helping reduce the number of fatal crashes or providing effective means of transportation.
7 p, @ d/ C) P# P8 }1 t C, Hehe~~every friend of mine ask me that question. Well, I think it’s more about the majors and maybe the study environment. Although I believe I can do well in my current major, I do not want to study only for a degree without any enthusiasm. I really want myself to contribute to solving some problems for my country, especially for the bad situation of traffic in big cities of China, with my passion. / After I read some books in transportation, and do some research in CAS, I broadened my viewpoints, I foresee its future, and I know my accumulated skills in EE and computer vision can contribute to this field!!
& {$ O" \5 r6 n' S/ y9 i5 |这个问题是我每到一阶段想出来的一个答案 此处均被我批判为反面教材的回答" t% ]9 u* s, a. [
U7 I1 a0 q8 g% v. M
Well, it’s really a hard decision. But I’m indeed proud of my choice to redirect my major to what I am really interested in. When I did research in *** (很细的topic), I found it can be perfectly applied in BBB. Also, the topic my current lab assigned me is too theory-oriented that may not suit me. That’s why I went to * and broadened my view and *****。
2 X2 [4 V/ J3 y0 q7 _事实上,a中solving problems in practical ways,,b中的more realistic and its inter-disciplinary characteristic abstracts me. It combines and requires the technology in the area of; c中的Although I believe I can do well in my current major, I do not want to study only for a degree without any enthusiasm. I really want myself to contribute to solving some problems for my country, especially for the bad situation of traffic in big cities of China, with my passion. / After I read some books in transportation,
% ]) Z# h4 Y' a2 A. e这些都是空话 尤其是什么要去为中国的什么什么做贡献 vo都听了n百遍了 绝对不能把这种话搬出来的/ 看了书之后啥的 也是空话 你选这个专业 一定是要让vo觉得你做了事情 你做了积累 才选择了它而付出了那么大的代价来去读它。/你要说什么interdisciplinary一定是用事实说明它 而不是放个词上来就完事
$ m/ E7 H5 j- ~: ^. g1 }
( E8 a0 u- V+ }5 S& C例二:Why do you want to go to US to study AAA but not in China? # a& A5 F' f: I% G: s! E
a. because the ** system in US is more advanced. And the *** situation in China has many problems. Such as …..
( o8 G; V/ W! t: r& U$ C; b' C( Zb. Well, I compared the AAA programs in the labs of US and China’s univ., and found most projects china’s lab is doing are almost the ones US has done several years ago. So I think I should choose US to do learn more and ****2 u* F2 T. e; O; T- e
$ R9 W& H- I" k" m. l& Q
