Attention Test Takers and ETS Customers: Don't Let Thieves Steal Your Personal Information On the Internet, thieves try to steal personal information by using a technique called "phishing." It works in the following way: people receive e-mails from companies that look very official. They may even include links to the company's Web site. The e-mails usually discuss a problem with billing or use of a credit card and ask the recipient to provide personal information such as a credit card number, the credit card holder's name, security pin number, and expiration date. Please beware. ETS does not send requests for credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial information by e-mail. If you do receive a message of this type that appears to be from ETS, or related to an ETS product or service, please do not respond. Send a copy of the message and any related details to ContactETS@ets.org.
