GRE的阅读中所涉及到的内容是十分广阔的，我们不可能对所有的题材都十分熟悉，毕竟我们没有那么多的时间去涉猎那么多的知识领域，我们的知识领域还是有空白之处的。在处理那些比较容易看懂的题材时，我们往往会犯错。大多数时候，我们把文章通篇看了一下，觉得挺简单的，可到我们做题时，就是选错了，而且更可气的是，即使我们看了正确答案，也理解不了为什么不选我们的答案，甚至我们选择的那个答案和正确答案都是对的，都可以在文章中找到相关的信息，感觉就是离正确答案很近了.

在处理这种情况时，尽量去抠题干中的字眼，适时发挥点中国人特有的“小聪明”，逆向思维一下！试着考虑一下作者的出题目的！

The recent change to all-volunteer armed forces in the United States will eventually produce a gradual increase in the proportion of women in the armed forces and in the variety of women’s assignments, but probably not the dramatic gains for women that might have been expected. This is so even though the armed forces operate in an ethos of institutional change oriented toward occupational equality and under the federal sanction of equal pay for equal work. The difficulty is that women are unlikely to be trained for any direct combat operations. A significant portion of the larger society remains uncomfortable as yet with extending equality in this direction. Therefore, for women in the military, the search for equality will still be based on functional equivalence, not identity or even similarity of task. Opportunities seem certain to arise.

一、理解题干

在做这道题时，首先将题干理解一下，“根据这段文字，尽管美国的武装力量已经保证在职位选择上男女平等, 但是其他一些因素却限制了女性不能干什么?”通看了一遍文章之后，再开始细看选项，选项B是说阻止了女性进入到职责各异的职业中, produce a gradual increase in the proportion of women in the armed forces and in the variety of women’s assignments, 在这句话中,说了女性可能接触到更多不同的职责与任务,选项B的意思恰好与文中所表达的意思相反,C 与B 的错误是一样的. 而在选项D中, 是说在非战斗的新职位中,女生也可能不会从中获益, The growing emphasis on deterrence is bound to offer increasing scope for women to become involved in novel types of non combat military assignments.文中的这句话已经阐明了女生在非战斗军事任务分派中的优势地位, 所以也不能选这个.然而在这些选项中最具有迷惑性的就是A,大多数的学生都会选择选项A， A 是迷惑选项。A的意思是说一些旁的因素使得女性在与男性同等的工作岗位上不能同薪同酬，在军队里不能得到发展。这句话看似正确，而且听起来也挺合理的。但是这是经不起我们的细推的。

二、搜索定位

在处理这个题时，一看到题干就应该马上从文章中找出相关的内容，这也就是“搜索定位”，一眼扫过去，马上在文中找到了相关的信息，“ This is so even though the armed forces operate in an ethos of institutional change oriented toward occupational equality and under the federal sanction of equal pay for equal work..” 找到这句话后,再分析一下句意, “如果没有采取在同等的工作岗位上实施同薪同酬, 武装部队将会受到联邦政府的惩罚,为避免这种结果,武装部队积极进行机构改革以实现职位选择上的男女平等, 即使采取了这种措施, 情况也还是如此.” 这里说的是尽管军队里做了相关的努力，但是结果并不尽如人意，因为其中存在着很多的阻碍因素。如果理解到这里，就不再看下去了，大多数人都会选择A，而且好像理由也挺充分的，“对啊，即使军队里面进行了相关的努力，可是没有成效啊！”

三、深层理解

殊不知，这里只是文章给你下的一个套，其实文章后面就这些阻碍因素有详细的说明哦！紧接着这句，后面就说出了碰到的一些难题。“The difficulty is that women are unlikely to be trained for any direct combat operations. A significant portion of the larger society remains uncomfortable as yet with extending equality in this direction.”意思是让女性直接参与战斗是不太可能的，而且大多数的社会群体也还不太能接受让女性参与这种活动，其间接的含义就是说女性自身没有条件去承担与男性同样的工作，而且大多数社会群体还不能接受女性去干这种工作。这些也就是阻碍了军队改革成功的因素。

理解了这层深意后，正确的选项D就浮出水面了，然后再把这个与候选的选项A相比较，细究起来，A中说的是很大范围的，是全面的，D中的内容就是导致A的原因，因为女性不能接受与男性同样的工作，故同薪同酬就不可能实现，进而军队里的改革也不会有什么成效。这样分析了后，就可以知道其实D是导致军队改革不成功的根本。

四、发挥聪明才智

其实整篇文章都在说A选项里的内容，如果要选择A的话，那么就大可不用这样大费周章的这样问，直接问“在军营的改革中，对女性依然不能实施同薪同酬的原因是什么？” 为什么还提到“其他的一些因素”。这样大概推算了作者的思路之后，得出作者其实想问的是后面的那些阻碍因素到底在哪个方面限制了女性。最后选为D。

在GRE的阅读理解中有很多这样的题目，都是先给出一个让人迷惑的选项，有些时候那个迷惑人的答案并不是错的，它自身的说法是正确的，只是不符合题意，所以在处理这类题目时要尤其小心，切勿陷入陷阱!
